9000+ jpg files on my desktop

crap.jpgClicking and dragging, we all love it in OS X, but what happens when you click/drag over 9000 photos,…………………well you miss. Now I’m stuck with over 9000 jpgs on my desktop. You say just hit ⌘ delete.Wrong buddy… A dialog says allow, skip or stop… just see the image in this post to see my grief I’m in right now.If you know what to do, let me know. This blows. If these are Aperture’s preview images I can just regenerate them correct? Or do I need to find the folder(s) they belong to and move them back? Either way, there’s crap on my desktop.

Just a lil update. I assumed you could do this from the command line, but the command “rm” will delete stuff. So what you do in Terminal is type:

If you blow your mac up I’m not helping you, so read on the internet or consult a more nerdy friend, coworker, or family member.

“cd /Users/YourUser/Desktop”

so for me  it was “cd /Users/Andy/Desktop”

it’ll then say something like realcomputername:Desktop YourUser$

so for me it was “badmac:Desktop Andy$”

then type “rm *.jpg”

(FYI you have to point to the desktop before you’d ever want to run the command rm *.jpg)
